The SQTD-LP Drill Rig is a safe drilling rig operated from underneath a protective canopy with permanent roof bolt supports. This drilling method places the operator in the safe zone, even when drilling is done in poor ground conditions.

The rig's protective canopy is ROPS and FOPS certified, with a braking system approved by SANS 1589. Mechanical drilling is safer and requires operating skills rather than physical strength. This method creates a stable rock wall condition, minimizing damage to the hanging wall and ensuring a safer work environment for the drill crew.

The Rig can have a Pneumatic or Hydraulic system, the SQTD-LP ensures ease of operation and on-site servicing, simplifying maintenance tasks and keeping downtime to a minimum.
